Martha’s husband Neil was serving in Afghanistan. Neil was killed by a suicide bomber. Martha has been trying to get death benefits for herself and her two young children. She thought that it was going to be easy to get the benefits but has been struggling with it by herself for the last year. She decided that she would find an attorney that was familiar with Charleston veterans disability benefits. She made an appointment with them for the following Tuesday. They sounded very confident that they would be able to help her right away. She should have thought about seeing an attorney earlier but she did not realize it was going to be so difficult.
