Me and my family have never been fond of religion, and we were not happy to hear that our city council had approved the building of a new mosque just 2 blocks from our home. We thought about protesting, but my father said, that before taking steps we cannot undo, lets try talking first. I am a little ashamed to write these words now, because what good people we met near the building site. A little English to Arabic translation was all it took, with maybe a little help from body language. I actually ended up donating money to the mosque builing fund, that’s what an eye-opener it was.
