You Can’t Buy Someone Else’s Shoes
Shoes are one of those gifts that you just can’t buy for someone, no matter how hard you try. My husband’s two requests for Christmas gifts last year were new jeans, and new mens running shoes. His family was sorely disappointed and kept asking me for other options. I exasperatedly told them that I truly didn’t know what else he wanted. They were resigned to buying him gift cards so he could get his jeans or shoes. I gave them his size in case they wanted to try to find something, but it was probably a wise option to let him pick them out himself.
