Jewelry District Has Lots of Lights

I was walking around the jewelery district in downtown Los Angeles today and noticed the sheer number of Halogen flood lights that these stores are using. It’s insane – each one uses a track fixture of about 10-30 100W light bulbs. Each STORE! In the little malls they have there’s about 20-40 of these stores and in the whole downtown area there’s hundreds of these little stores. If they replaced all their lights with led flood light bulbs they’d save a ton of energy and money as well! I wonder if anyone has thought about replacing their lights with LEDs. Whoever does it first would make a TON of money.
