The Cost of Ink
While looking for a replacement for an Epson Laser Printer Toner Cartridge, it finally hit me. The price of laser printers has fallen drastically since they first hit the market and that’s nothing new with any technology. As the market becomes saturated the prices begin to fall as competition gets more fierce. Its the natural law in supply and demand, but there is something else when it comes to printers. The ink is hideously expensive in just about all cases. The real money in printing isn’t made on the machines but rather on the ink for the machines. We rarely replace a good printer, but we always need more ink.
