The Unmountable Boot Volume Blue Screen Error Message

Getting the unmountable boot volume blue screen can cause people to panic. Why? Because it’s the harddisk we are talking about, where all the files, all the hard work and sweat are stored. The error usually comes from a physical or hardware problem, though there are instances of changes in the BIOS to cause it.

To check if you BIOS have the correct settings, enter the BIOS at PC start-up, press del or esc to enter CMOS or BIOS setting. You’ll usually see ‘press del to enter setup’. Once inside the BIOS, check which drive is assigned for boot-up. If its not your bootable drive in it, then please change it to the correct one. If there’s nothing in that setting, then assign it to the correct drive. Save your settings and exit BIOS, restart the the boot-up process. If it doesn’t work, go back to BIOS setting and restore all the settings to the default or factory settings. It can be that you BIOS is configured to read first faster UDMA modes, causing the unmountable boot volume blue screen.
